JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Reading, writing and basic math skills, including the ability to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch, are required.
  • Consistent work history and machine operation experience with an understanding of manufacturing operations is preferred.
  • Must be willing and flexible to work 12-hour shifts, either day or night.
  • The ability to work in a team based environment is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; work at a height of 6-8 feet (occasional); withstand extreme temperatures, are requirements of the position.
  • Must work effectively and efficiently with a constant awareness and practice of safe working procedures.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set/start up and operate production machines.
  • Monitor production machines for correct customer product specifications checking for quality defects.
  • Troubleshoot causes of machine stoppage.
  • Inspect machinery for maintenance and repair requirements.
  • Accurately prepare and record information and data.

WORKING SCHEDULE:

  • 12-hour shifts, either day or night.
  • 6 am to 6 pm, $10.88 an hour.
  • 6 pm to 6 am, $11.88 an hour.

REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Position will inspect and pack products
  • Will move product from pick tables when ready and stack in skids.
  • Check the quality of the product also needs to identify what materials or products they will need in order to continue the production line.
  • Perform start up, shut down and change over to the equipment/product.
  • Support the manufacturing group by preparing boxes to be loaded.
  • Visually inspecting product, loading product, and stacking finished cases in a way that ensures efficient, quality oriented production.
  • Demonstrate safe work behaviors to avoid injury to self or others.
  • Work effectively within a work team and collaborate with other teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and problem solving.
  • Maintain neat and orderly conditions in area.
  • Operate assigned equipment in a safe, effective and efficient manner.
  • Follow processes and procedures.
  • Take appropriate action when unusual conditions occur.

Working Conditions: Will be exposed to hot temperatures during summer months; there may be some exposure to dust inside warehouse and constant exposure to machine noises. This position requires constant use of hands

Minimal Qualifications:
Current cosmetology or barber license and manager license as required by state/provincial regulations

Ability to perform administrative tasks such as completing schedules and transactions on the computerized register, performing close-out procedures and light housekeeping duties

Physical Requirements:
