Instrumentation and Electricity

iandeThrough a partnership with local industries, this "hands-on" program teaches the skills necessary for career advancement in the high-demand field of instrumentation and electricity. In our high-tech state-of-the-art lab students will learn all facets of instrumentation and electricity including calibration, control loop turning, troubleshooting and repair and computer control and PLC's. Individuals with experience may enroll in the specific classes that will enable them to compete for upcoming local I&E jobs. Internships may be available. Course Content Includes:

Instrumentation and Electricity Daytime Program: Starting Fall Quarter 2010
Start Date:  September 27, 2010 End Date:  September 21, 2011
Start Time: 8:00 am End Time: 4:00 pm
Days: Mondays and Tuesdays Tuition: $7000
Instrumentation and Electricity Evening Program: Starting Winter Quarter 2011
Start Date:  January 10, 2011 End Date:  December 15, 2011
Start Time: 5:30 pm End Time: 9:30 pm

Optional Internships
Cost: $2000    
Internships will be a total of 480 hours which are to be completed within one year of class completion. The intern will be subject to all the rules and regulations of the company and will be under the direction of a company employee. This is a non-paying internship. The internship will add to the "hands-on" experience already offered by The Career Center - Adult Technical Training. The student will perform duties determined by the supervisor or manager of the department to which they are assigned relating to the course curriculum.
