This training program was designed in cooperation with local industry to provide basic skills training needed for today's maintenance technician. Dislocated maintenance employees may enroll part-time in the segments needed to obtain employment in the Chemical and Metals Industry. Course Content:

Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright Daytime Program: Starting Fall Quarter 2010 Start Date: September 27, 2010 End Date: September 20, 2011 Start Time: 8:00 am End Time: 4:00 pm Days: Wednesdays and Thursdays Tuition: $7000 Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright Evening Program: Starting Winter Quarter 2011 Start Date: January 10, 2011 End Date: December 15, 2011 Start Time: 5:30 pm End Time: 9:30 pm Days: Monday through Thursday Tuition: $7000
Optional Internships Cost: $2000 Internships will be a total of 480 hours which are to be completed within one year of class completion. The intern will be subject to all the rules and regulations of the company and will be under the direction of a company employee. This is a non-paying internship. The internship will add to the "hands-on" experience already offered by The Career Center - Adult Technical Training. The student will perform duties determined by the supervisor or manager of the department to which they are assigned relating to the course curriculum. ** Additional Costs for Tools, Books and/or Supplies may apply.
